• If you’re taking the ferry and sitting on top - sunscreen is a must! Don’t get sneakily burned before you even touch the sand. 
• If you take the A train, there is a Key Foods that is right near the beach. Stop here first to load up on snacks & drinks to save $ & avoid lugging it all the way from the city!

If you're looking to cool down and escape the city for a day,

Rockaway Beach is a must for any summer bucket list.

My friends and I usually do one or two trips to

Rockaway over the summer because it's so close to the city

Everyone is either just lounging out, in the ocean

they’re called nutcrackers and they come in all different types of flavors.

so head here early in the day to make sure you get your perfect spot.

And if you're like me who gets easily sunburned and needs a break from the heat,

there are so many spots you can pop to nearby.

they make homemade pina coladas and have a live band.

It's such a fun vibe and everyone is still partying post the beach.

so we stopped by this taco shop to get some food

Most of our time was spent just lounging around.

I loved all of the books and games and the nearby lake was so dreamy,

We did venture out to Jim Thorpe for a cute little train ride,

this was a much needed escape from the city.

Budget Friendly Airbnb!

If you're heading to San Diego and want a

place that's affordable without sacrificing cleanliness or quality,

check out this hidden gem spot I stayed at on my last visit.

it is so hard to find without blowing your budget.

The host was incredible and even left a basket of snacks for us,

which was perfect since we didn't really need anything over the top for this trip.

The bed was super comfortable and the shower was stocked with,

which is literally the best smelling soaps you'll ever have.

one of the best diners in San Diego is literally right next door.

It's seriously one of the best breakfasts I've had in such a long time,

There's a bunch of shops and stores just around the corner.

I highly recommend checking out this place.

I definitely will be booking again the next time I come here.
