• Even though it is Shenandoahs highest mountain, your car does most of the climbing.
• The entrance fee is $30 unless you have a parks pass.

• Blackberries are in season April-November and grow abundantly in the park.

• If you’d rather not have a sit-down meal in the dining room, go downstairs to the New Market Tap Room. They have the blackberry pie as well as bar food and drinks. 
• Skyland’s dining room several miles north also has both the blackberry pie and cobbler.

Shenandoah National Park is like a gift that keeps on giving.

You'll take a day trip to hike the park's highest

mountain and reward yourself with their seasonal signature blackberry cobbler.

It's a beautiful wide open space where you can

Now drive 5 miles south to Big Meadows Lodge,

The weather is so nice out and before it gets cold, you have to visit this waterfront restaurant. They're serving up mango slushies and boozy slushies, as well as sonny's pizza which is always so tasty.
