We headed north for a cozy sea ranch and timber cove escape,

the kind of weekend built around good food,

We eased into vacation mode with a stop at Bird's Cafe

perfect stop to stretch your legs and grab something warm and comforting.

We headed into our family's place in the area,

though there are plenty of charming Airbnbs

in coastal stays that I'd happily recommend.

The next day we headed to Fort Ross Winery

for a food and wine pairing overlooking the ocean.

we started early with 9 holes at the newly opened Sea Ranch links.

The ocean air and the light drizzle was kind of perfect.

It's peaceful and feels like you have the whole course to yourself.

we drove up to Point Arena for dinner at Izakaya Gama.

but absolutely worth it for the sake selection.

Beautifully prepared dishes and a memorable dessert

we made one final stop at Two Fish Baking at Stewart's Point

for their famous sticky buns and some road snacks.

We ordered calzones that were phenomenal and the perfect fuel for the drive home.
