Every summer, the Marine Corps hosts a weekly Sunset Parade at the Marine Corps War Memorial (also known as the Iwo Jima Memorial). The parade includes musical performances by "The Commandant's Own," the Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, and precision drill by the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon.

The Marine Corps sunset Parade at the Iwo Jima Memorial in Rosslyn,

Arlington is one of the most unique summer events in the DC area.

The parade takes place on Tuesday evenings through the late spring and summer,

and there is one more parade for the Summer.

The ceremony features the commandment's own US Marine drum and

Bugle Corps and the US Marine Corps silent drill platoon,

Be sure to metro here and arrive early to see these unique performances.

I thought I’ve done everything in DC, but then I was invited to see a 15-ton cloud and it is truly unlike anything I’ve ever seen in my life. For two weeks only, this traveling 15-ton cloud will be in Washington, DC and there will be unique events, concerts, sound baths, and experiences. • If you see the abandoned school buses and massive satellite dishes, you’ll know you’re in the right spot. 
• Just note that if you’re sensitive to light and loud sounds, I recommend to just watch the cloud from afar at first to see how you react before going closer.
• ENTER CLOUDFALL features high-intensity low-frequency sound, dynamic lighting, lasers, strobe effects, and fog. Not recommended for individuals with epilepsy, photosensitivity, or sensitivity to loud sound or intense sensory environments. Parental discretion advised for young children.

this will be the first and only museum in DC to

There are newly exhibited original artifacts as well,

like a stone engraving of the Declaration

of Independence celebrating its 250th birthday.

And of course you can still view the greatest hits

from the nation's history in the rotunda while you're there.
