walking between the sauna and the parking lot and the river to do a plunge.

I truly can't recommend this experience enough for a group

Durant Vineyards Tasting Room

I may have just found my new favorite winery in the Willamette Valley.

perfecting their wine grapes for over 50 years.

We started our day at the tasting room where we

were given a complimentary glass of rosé upon arrival.

We were then led to our seats on the patio,

which could not have been more perfect for sipping wine with comfortable couches

We had such a good view of the valley and really soaked it in during our tasting.

We got a charcuterie board to snack on during

our tasting and it paired so well with everything.

which Durant Vineyards produces themselves.

They're the first, and currently only, commercial olive mill in Oregon.

If you've gotten the Aberquina Olive Oil ice cream from Salt & Straw,

After sipping some wine and soaking up the sun,

We walked through their plant nursery and into their gift shop for more goodies.

They also had a lavender field where you could sit and relax,

and our host also mentioned a hiking trail for an even bigger adventure.

We could not stop talking about how amazing this experience was.

I brought my family here when they were visiting me

and they said it was the highlight of their trip.

Mount Hood Railroad

Spend a few hours aboard this scenic train on a round-trip excursion in Hood River.

Mount Hood Railroad operates historic train cars over 70 years old

and navigates 1 of 5 remaining switchbacks in the U.S.

Each season brings a new type of train tour,

including a Polar Express-themed train ride in the winter.

we enjoyed the summer train which took us to The Fruit Company

in the middle of Mount Hood wine country.

It began with a rollout of the red carpet where we entered the VIP train.

It was beautifully decorated and sported a lounge style car in the back.

We colored in our seats until we took off

and then turned towards our amazing views of Hood River

where we enjoyed a free wine tasting with our tickets.

The best part was our unmatched views of Mount Hood and

Mount Saint Helens as soon as we stepped off the train.

After buying a few things from the gift shop,

we hopped back on the train to be taken home.

This was such a relaxing and beautiful way to explore Hood River

without also having the pressure of driving or planning every stop.

This is the neighborhood park where The City of Roses really lives up to its name. Located in the NE, you have to make a point to visit Peninsula Park Rose Garden at least once this summer.

This is the neighborhood park where the City of Roses really lives up to its name.

Park Rose Garden at least once this summer.

This garden has an insane amount of rose bushes and

the variety of roses are almost too many to count.

It also feels like you're in a palace garden with

all of the symmetrical walkways and small groves of trees.

There's a beautiful fountain in the middle of the park

and more shaded walkways on the perimeter.

I love to visit during my lunch hour or walk my dog in the park after work.

but the roses last throughout the summer.
