Visit the National Public Housing Museum in Little Italy to explore interactive exhibits and learn about the history and impact of public housing in Chicago and nationwide.

• If you decide to do their historic apartment tour, you should know they last around an hour and a half, so be sure to plan accordingly. 
• The museum is free, but they also accept donations. 
💪 Pro tips
• Be sure to hit all floors as there are interesting exhibits on all 3, including a rec room where you can play vinyls and learn about artists who lived in public housing. 🎧

Enjoy healthy and halal salads, sandwiches, bowls, and smoothies at The Bite in Little Italy—a great spot for a fresh, satisfying lunch.

Beat the summer heat at Mario’s Italian Lemonade in Little Italy. Enjoy classic or limited-time flavors, like Strawberry Basil, at this beloved Chicago spot.

• Because they are a Chicago staple, they can get pretty busy over the weekends so make sure to plan ahead.

• A fan favorite flavor, Strawberry Basil, is back but only for a limited time so visit sooner rather than later to try it! 

Mario’s Italian Lemonade 

Here are 3 places you should definitely visit the next time you're in Little Italy.

First is the National Public Housing Museum.

The museum is right in the middle of Taylor Street,

Wednesdays through Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

In addition to learning about the history of public housing,

interact with different installations within the museum.

They also offer historic apartment tours for $25 if you want the

opportunity to walk through three recreated apartments from the 1930s and 1970s.

and they also have smoothies and coffee if you're maybe not too hungry.

at the Damen Pink Line stop before we made our way up to Lincoln Park.

but it gave us the opportunity to really enjoy seeing Chicago.

Our first stop included brunch at Batter and Berries,

and I highly recommend if you have not been yet.

we just walked around to see what we could get into while we were in Lincoln Park.

We stopped into Queen Bee as it was a coffee shop we were recently recommended.

It was very spacious and they had plenty of pastries.

We continued our walk and stumbled upon this

art festival found in Lincoln Park /Roscoe.

as well as live performances during the festival,

I highly recommend just taking a day to explore a new neighborhood in Chicago.
