•Wear sunscreen and bring plenty of water, there is little shade on this hike.

🚗Transportation:
•Park on Homedale Drive for free outside of the Barton Hills Access to Barton Creek Greenbelt.

💪Pro tips:
• The fun part of this hike is discovering the caves on your own, but we'll tell you how to get there.
• Follow the trail until you reach a large open area called The Flats (it'll show up on Google Maps for reference). 
• Once you’ve reached The Flats, continue walking downstream on the east side of the creek. 
•  After about 1/2 of a mile, you will come upon a worn path leading upward to the cave - follow this path upward to the cave and climb inside!

Here's your Nudge plan for an outdoorsy day in Austin where you'll go

on an adventurous hike to a secret cave before enjoying a delicious lunch.

Begin this two mile hike by following the trail

until you reach this beautiful area called The Flats.

Keep hiking alongside the river until you reach the cave,

climb up and relax while you enjoy this incredible view.

I also came across lots of wildlife from frogs to lizards to even a snake,

which thankfully slithered away from me before I could catch on camera.

After you've soaked in the view from the cave,

head back to your car and drive only five minutes to reach Loro.

but as soon as I took a look at this incredible menu,

I knew I was in for some tough decisions.

My friend and I finally decided to start with the

house pickles and crispy potatoes and for our meals,

I enjoyed a crispy tofu rice bowl while she munched on the smoked prime bavette.

It's safe to say that this is my new favorite lunch spot.

All you need to do is grab an adventurous buddy and pick a day soon!

First, head over to Barton Springs Saloon for food and drinks.

It's a bar on South Lamar with great happy hour deals and an outdoor patio.

First, I suggest starting off with some well drinks or specialty cocktails.

Outside of the bar, you’ll fine the Tommy Want Wingy food truck.

I recommend trying a combination of the wings.

My favorites are the OG and the Spicy Pineapple.

Once you finish your food and drinks, head over to the Concert Dome.

It's a 360 degree immersive venue with live music.

Before you enter the venue, they have a bar and lounge that offers drinks and snacks.

You definitely want to grab some drinks to enjoy during the show.

And then once you have your drinks in hand, grab your seats and enjoy an unforgettable and unbelievable experience.

Everyone has recliner seats for you to relax and feel every note and emotion.

It's a fantastic experience where the musicians bring your favorite songs to life.

The visuals change throughout the performance and you’ll find yourself in awe gazing into them as you enjoy the concert.

I started the evening with a peach sparkling yuzu,

we got our sea legs wet with the Scallop Crudo.

The combo of the clean, buttery scallop with

the burst of flavorful roe was delightful.

My roll of choice was the Salmon Lover Roll.

That includes lots of salmon with big plump roe that bursts like flavorful waves.

This is a great alternative if Barton is busy.

I love coming hillside and just relaxing under all the greenery.

After you've soaked in the sun and enjoyed the cool water,

at the bar then find a seat somewhere in their small but vibey outdoor area.

There's nothing better than a burger after a day in the water

which is what makes this the perfect menu change.

a little treat will be calling your name.

This tasted like 90% booze and 10% cherries.

I literally thought I got buzzed from that

but maybe it was just the high of a great day.
