Where you'll hike four miles through a shaded park,

a quiet and off the beaten path park in a peaceful South Austin neighborhood.

This is a great date idea and dog friendly one! So bring your pup along.

You'll love the easy to follow paths and the feeling of being off the grid,

even though you're never far from the neighborhood.

We loved the sounds and sights of nature, like crickets chirping,

the cool breeze rustling through the trees and the occasional friendly creature.

Luckily I stumbled upon this beautiful giant oak that

You'll drive 10 minutes to St. Elmo Brewing for some well deserved post hike beers.

They have a wide selection of seasonal and classic craft

beers and a flexible space to enjoy all year long.

I recommend Roxanne, a pink grapefruit sour,

which was a gold medal winner at the Great American Beer Festival.

All you have to do is clear an afternoon, grab a friend and take a hike!

Catch the sunset at Oasis Texas Brewing Company 

There's just something about a Texas sunset that hits different

You gotta work a little for it by walking up a few flights of stairs to the top floor

but then you've made it to the Oasis Brewing Company.

You can't really go wrong with anywhere that you sit because there's great views

I prefer this spot to the Oasis because lines are smaller,

I didn't stay for the sunset this go round

but that's a sweet little surprise I'm saving just for you

Hidden Flask is a sophisticated speakeasy type feel summer pop up bar that features award winning mixologists and light bites.

It’ll be here until August 4th. They are open Thursdays through Saturdays from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Allow me to put you on to an upscale pop-up bar located in the Four Seasons Hotel.

you'll need to go to the front desk and let

them know you have a reservation at Hidden Flask.

located in the presidential suite of the hotel.

It's a nice place to wind down or have the perfect date night.

Then I ordered my signature French 75 with Cognac,

I also tried one of their past hors d'oeuvres,

located in the hotel lobby where you can have delicious entrees,

and some live music to culminate the night.

• Bring a chair or blanket to sit on, and get there early! We were lucky enough to get a table, but it filled up fast. Chairs will have to sit near the back of the backyard. 
• Check out Hyde Park Storytelling to see when their next events are! They are usually every 4 months - the next one is in November, and will feature a live orchestra. 

Head down the street to Batch Kolaches 

If you're looking to check out something different on a Saturday night,

We started off the night by going to Salty South.

They have an awesome happy hour every day from 4:30 to 6:30.

I personally love their chicken liver mousse.

This event originally took place in someone's backyard in Hyde Park,

but has since grown in popularity and moved to Batch.

A group of people shared true stories ranging in topics and duration.

They usually have these events every 4 months,

New Upscale Dinner Date Spot 

Head to The Kimberly in downtown Austin for craft cocktails, appetizers, and wood-fired steaks—perfect for an upscale dinner date or special night out.

• Check the dress code online - they do have a dress code, but it’s pretty lax.

💪 Pro tips
• The entree portions are pretty large, you may want to split them and get a side!
• We found street parking pretty easily around the corner 

Head to the Kimberly 

This brand new restaurant just opened in downtown Austin and is a must go if you are looking for an upscale dining experience.

The Kimberly is owned by the same owner of Red Ash and J Carvers steakhouse - I personally love both restaurants so I was so excited to check this one out. We started with some STRONG cocktails - I got the dangerous woman which had a salt air foam on top and my partner got the lawyers, guns and money.
If you get one thing from this menu I would highly recommend the cheddar Parker house rolls… I would literally come back here just to eat those any day of the week
We started with a couple of appetizers, but the real highlight here is the steak - this place is known for it, so we couldn't pass it up. Their steaks are dry aged for 30 days and cooked over a wood fired girl, which adds an incredible flavor.
Lastly we had to check out the dessert -we got the  creme brûlée tasting which included 3 types of creme brûlée, each with their own flavor.
