• The Skylark has free bike rentals, a heated pool and hot tub, and free breakfast in the mornings. They also have tons of info about local goings-on – don’t be shy to ask! 
• We didn't get to the Aerial Tramway (pstramway.com) on this trip but it looks stunning and it's at the top of my list for next time!
• Many shops close on the earlier side in town (like 5pm or 6pm), so make sure to work that into your schedule.
• Hydrate! The desert can get to you more quickly than you think.

Beauty at the Bay Spa Day

my fiance and I took a trip down to Redondo Beach for some

serious self-care with a baleen brunch and Beauty at the Bay spa day.

We popped by the Portofina Hotel's marinaside restaurant for delicious food and

drinks with mimosa flights and pastry baskets hand-delivered by the manager,

we went to the nearby partnered spa for insanely rejuvenating diamond facials,

and an immunity vitamin IV with a glutamine shot.

It was truly the most relaxing experience.

Make a pit stop at The Station 

If you're a fan of roadside attractions like me,

head over to any of these heading out to the desert.

which is a free attraction off the Interstate 10,

where these two dinosaurs stand over 100 ft tall

and you can actually go inside one of them and enjoy the gift shop.

They also have a museum for $15 on site that you can enjoy with little ones.

Once we reached our destination of Joshua Tree,

we got to see this great art installation and shop.

There are many small stores selling amazing creative goods,

great to take pictures by and a fun little stop

before heading into the actual Joshua Tree National Park.

The last stop is just a block down called the station,

We had so much fun just making a little pit stop at these places

and making our trip that much more unique.
