• The Skylark has free bike rentals, a heated pool and hot tub, and free breakfast in the mornings. They also have tons of info about local goings-on – don’t be shy to ask! 
• We didn't get to the Aerial Tramway (pstramway.com) on this trip but it looks stunning and it's at the top of my list for next time!
• Many shops close on the earlier side in town (like 5pm or 6pm), so make sure to work that into your schedule.
• Hydrate! The desert can get to you more quickly than you think.

but we learned lots of facts about celebs and architecture too.

Come spoil yourself at Celio Farms in Malibu

This is the barn at Celio Farms in Malibu nestled in the mountains,

so this is definitely somewhere to treat yourself,

but that sangria hit the spot on this first warm day we've had in a while,

It's perfect for a birthday party or a special event you're sharing with friends.

You can book a reservation in advance to guarantee a table

and then explore the grounds as long as you want.

We stayed all afternoon until the sun went down,

and it truly was the perfect background for it.

Start off your morning with a delicious country breakfast, then head on over to Underwood Family Farms where you will pick tulips, see farm animals, and breathe in the fresh air🐐💐🐮

Enjoy picking tulips, visit friendly farm animals, and explore kids activities and fresh produce at Underwood Family Farms in Moorpark.

• For the tulip festival, you can buy tickets once you get there, $15 on weekdays and $20 on weekends. The weekend includes a tractor ride and stroop waffle
• the sun is out! So bring a hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen
• wear shoes you don’t mind getting dirty as it can be muddy 
• in case you are wondering if you can pet the fluffy cow, you unfortunately cannot. There are plenty of other animals to pet and interact with though
• they also have a location in Somis, so make sure you know which one you’re going to
• tons of kids activities if you are bringing little ones!
• parking is free! It’s a dirt lot.

• get there early to avoid the crowds and the heat!
• if you have a long drive, bringing a vase with water that you can secure in your car might be a good idea to keep your flowers fresh! 
• they have fresh fruits and vegetables to pick and for sale as well so make sure to check the U-Pick schedule to see what’s in season.
• check out their website for updates and dates for their seasonal festivals!
 

Underwood Family Farms

If you're looking for a slow morning reset,

Head up to Moorpark and stop at Country Harvest for breakfast.

and they have all the yummy comfort food.

You will be greeted by all sorts of animals,

this friendly Highland cow that you can feed.

you might still be able to catch the Tulip Festival,

and there were so many cute photo op spots.

Even if you don't make it for the tulips,

Don't forget to show these little guys some love on your way out.

All of these goats were born on the farm and are super friendly and ready to play.

This is the perfect day trip plan to Santa Barbara

if you're looking for some beautiful nature

where we picked up iced teas and decided to sit on their beautiful outdoor patio.

The iced tea I got was herbal flavored and a little funky,

Then we drove over to the Santa Barbara Botanical Gardens.

You'll purchase your ticket at the front entrance,

and then you have access to the entire gardens.

there is this incredible view of Santa Barbara.

Then we drove over near the pier because we wanted to grab drinks before the sunset.

Then we went to Gracie at the waterfront for their happy hour.

They have drinks starting at $8 and food starting at $7

and enjoyed the beautiful sunset in Santa Barbara.
