I spent the day at the Cecil B. Day Butterfly Center inside Callaway Gardens and it honestly feels like stepping into another climate. Warm air, waterfalls, and butterflies flying all around you. It is calm, immersive, and such an easy way to reset for a few hours. Perfect for a solo day trip, a cute date, or something different with the family.

The Callaway Gardens is located in Pine Mountain,

and has the most stunning butterfly garden I've ever seen.

The stunning greenhouse is home to the Day Butterfly Center,

which houses hundreds of tropical butterflies.

The resort as a whole has over 6500 acres,

they have fireworks shows or even hot air balloons.

So whether you're a golfer looking to take advantage of a few rounds,

or just looking to enjoy some time in nature,

I highly recommend checking out Callaway Gardens

If you're looking for a little more than just drinks and dinner,

You're gonna want to get there early because happy hour ends at 6 o'clock,

they had several vegetarian options and they were fantastic.

I'm still thinking about that soft pretzel,

And I will also say the margarita pizza was something to write home about.

and I ended up taking it with me on our way to the race cars.

Now this part was super duper fun you guys.

but you couldn't convince me that I was not on a real F1 racetrack.

I highly recommend for double dates or a girls' night out.

This is a perfect Tuesday night and an all star date lineup. Start at Virtue Rooftop at 5Church Midtown for drinks and live jazz with skyline views, then head to Dark Horse Tavern to end the night with comedy. It is social but still easy, a little dressed up, a little unexpected for a Tuesday, and ideal for a midweek outing that does not feel repetitive.

You're going to start the evening at Five Church Midtown.

Next you'll head over to Dark Horse and you're

not going to be doing line dancing or karaoke.

They host a comedy show in the basement every Tuesday from 8 to 10.

which is pretty affordable and it's general admission

and after the scheduled performers were finished,

they allowed a few audience members to get up on stage and try it out for themselves.

I will definitely be coming back in the future.

I tried something different at Sky Barre in Reynoldstown and it ended up being way more fun than a typical workout. Think aerial, lyra, and sling work mixed with yoga, cardio, and just enough structure to feel like a real class, but still playful. It is very beginner friendly, but you still feel challenged, and the after dark glow class turns it into more of an experience than just fitness. Perfect if you want to switch up your routine or get into a fun hobby while meeting new people.

• Instructors are very hands on, so ask for help or adjustments, it makes a big difference.

If you've ever been to a Cirque du Soleil show and wondered how

on God's green earth do you even get into something like this,

This is a super cool workout studio in Reynoldstown.

I am so uncoordinated and for me to be able to do these moves

so of course I was in the beginner class,

but this is one of the first things they teach you.

You're going to get so comfortable hanging upside down like this,

you'll learn a new routine and at the end,

everybody gets to take out their phones and record what you learned.

My favorite thing about these classes is that you truly do get better over time.

I recommend trying their After Dark class.

This is one of those easy after work or weekend resets that always works. A walk along the newer stretch of the Beltline Southside Trail between Glenwood & Grant Park, with a vibey break at Side Saddle Wine Saloon. It is low effort but still feels like you did something, a little movement, then a drink, trivia, or live music depending on the night.

• Start an hour or two before sunset if you can, it hits the best balance of light and temperature.
• Wear comfortable shoes, you will end up walking more than you think.

• Street parking in along this segment is usually the easiest (and cheapest) move - the surrounding area is very residential.
• This section is still a little quieter than other parts of the Beltline (i.e. Krog Street), which makes it better for a reset walk.

With a new phase of the Beltline finally being completed,

my boyfriend and I decided to go on a nice long Beltline walk.

and they have trivia on Tuesdays and live jazz every Thursday night from 7 to 10.

The outdoor seating is impeccable and the jazz is amazing.
