Urban Hike and Coffee Outing 

Walk or hike a scenic section of the High Line Canal trail behind Arapahoe Tennis Club, enjoying city escape vibes and wildlife sightings along Denver's historic path.

• There are tons of spots to access the High Line but my favorite section is located right behind the Arapaho Tennis Club- follow the directions to the Arapaho Tennis Club but continue down the road to the dead end where you can park for trail access

Colorado is known for our outdoor activities,

but sometimes getting out of the city can feel hard.

Here's your plan for an urban hike along one

of my favorite trails that runs through Denver.

The Highline Canal is 71 miles of historic trail meandering throughout Denver.

This is my personal favorite section for its views,

Stick to the main High Line Canal or drop down onto

one of the many trails that branch off the High Line.

including the red-tailed hawk that I saw.

Walk as little or as far as you want and enjoy the time in nature.

head over to Moonrise Coffee Roasters for a

coffee or cold drink for a post-hike treat.

Moonrise brings a mix of Colorado and Hawaii with their

Hawaii sourced coffee beans and tropical feeling aesthetic and drinks.

Enjoy a shady 5-mile loop hike at Beaver Brook Trailhead, just 30 minutes from Denver, with scenic creek stops and a challenging uphill return.

• The full trail name is the Chavez and Beaver Brook Loop.

Your new favorite hike is only 30 minutes from Denver.

This trail is a little over a 5 mile loop and

great for the summer heat with lots of shaded portions.

you'll arrive at a creek which has plenty of places to stop for a snack and a break.

The back half of the trail is mostly uphill with about 1000 ft elevation gain,

so be prepared for the second half to take a bit more time than the first.

of 15th and Delgay offers Colorado residents admissions for 1 penny.

One Abraham Lincoln will get you into this amazing curated museum

that's been in the Denver area since 1996.

The current exhibits we saw are here until July 5th,

they also offer every week $5 admissions after 5:00 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

And they also offer a variety of other events.

So definitely check out what they have to offer on our site.

they have an amazing rooftop to enjoy these warmer spring days,

and a cafe and bar to have a nice beverage,
