Start your Belltown bar crawl at Trade Winds Tavern, enjoying a secret Nudger-only cocktail, The Goldilocks, amidst a retro sports pub ambiance with Big Buck Hunter.

Your first stop of the evening is a reimagined sports pub, Trade Winds Tavern. It has a retro feel with neon signs, trophies, an entirely wooden interior, TVs, and Big Buck Hunter (in case that’s more your sport, lol). Grab an Uber and head here around 5/5:30pm.

They have a seriously impressive cocktail list - unlike your typical sports bar menu - but of course, we have to recommend the Nudger-only cocktail, which we’ve named The Goldilocks. It’s made with gin, lemon, the award-winning Hangar vodka (several flavor options you can choose from but the honeycomb was incredible) and topped with a honey-ginger candy. It’s not too sweet, not too sour - it’s just right 🙃, and my favorite of the evening. Order it by name, you won’t see it on their menu. They have a happy hour with food from 3 to 6pm and all day on Mondays, but I recommend eating at your next stop, Navy Strength. Note that Nudge Plus members get a discount on their tab at each spot - just text the Nudge “Cocktail crawl” to unlock that discount.

Before you leave Trade Winds, you absolutely must check out the bathroom to see cofounder Chris Elford’s childhood baseball card collection, which covers every inch of the walls in there. 

Once you’ve finished your cocktail, taken a bathroom selfie, and maybe even played a round of Buck Hunter, walk next door to Navy Strength.

[CLOSED] Start at Trade Winds Tavern for the Goldilocks

Visit Navy Strength, a Brazil-themed tropical bar in Belltown, and enjoy the Nudger-only cocktail ‘Uncut Jams’, made with rum and fresh, homemade ingredients.

Navy Strength is a funky tropical bar that will make you feel like you’re on spring break somewhere near a beach. Their menu changes multiple times a year to emulate various destinations and currently it’s Brazil-themed. All their ingredients are fresh and made from scratch, even their grenadine…pretty impressive (it’s in the Nudger-only cocktail of course). 

Take a seat on one of the brightly-colored stools up at the bar and order the Uncut Jams as you admire the disco ball rotating above you. The Jams is a mixture of rum, grenadine, lemon juice, and angostura bitters, served on crushed ice with a mint and blueberry powder garnish. I’ve never been a big rum girl but I loved this drink. Their menu is a hodgepodge of spring rolls, steamed buns, pork banh mi and nachos - something for everyone 🤗.

Quick fun fact: Navy Strength won “Best New American Cocktail Bar” at the 2018 Spirited awards. Cheers to them! 

Next up we have our final spot, Rob Roy. Walk two minutes down 2nd Ave and you’ll see the mysterious black door on your left.

At Rob Roy, enjoy the secret Gentleman's Way cocktail in a swanky, dimly-lit bar, and watch talented bartenders craft various drinks.

You probably know Rob Roy from their epic holiday pop-up every December but 11 out of 12 months they’re a swanky, dimly-lit bar with several shelves of every kind of alcohol/mixture/bitters you could possibly imagine. The bartender told me that if you came in every day for a year and requested something different every time, they could make it happen (not that I recommend doing this).  

When you walk in, one of the bartenders will direct you to your seat. Hopefully it’s not too crowded and you can sit up at the bar to watch them do their thing. Your final Nudger-only cocktail is the Gentleman’s Way, designed by Rob Roy’s bar manager, Mark Sassi. It’s a national-award winning cocktail that used to be on their menu, but is only available to Nudgers at this time 🤫. It’s a variation on the classic whiskey sour.

The live music had me instantly relaxed and totally in my element.

Seeing the couple next to us on their anniversary dinner made me see how

refined way to celebrate something special.

We ordered the petite messina flight with spicy vodka,

pesto in the casarecce, also had their delicious braylen’s picante wings,

garlic bread with herb aioli and black truffle bread.
