•They have a ton of shops within the complex, but the plant store, Ferry’s, was a favorite 
•If you want a cupcake and the line at the bakery is too long, you may be able to snag one at their airstream bakery in the food court!

Finish your Waco trip at Sloan’s, where the retro vibe complements delicious cocktails like the Strawberry Fields Forever, and even the bathroom is photo-worthy.

explore some HGTV-worthy hot spots and ride through one of Texas'

largest parks on e-bike. First head to Magnolia Table for breakfast.

This place is usually crowded for obvious reasons

so if there's a little way, don't be deterred.

You can order coffee or pastries outside or hang out

in their massive waiting area. When it's your turn,

head inside and marvel at the aesthetics.

We each leaned into the season and got a pumpkin

spice latte and shared pumpkin spice donuts and the yummiest

Next drive eight minutes over to Spice Village

This is a massive collection of shops all under one roof and they have

everything you could have probably thought of,

and everything you probably never thought of.

walk over to Fabled Bookstore and Cafe. Aesthetically this bookstore

is a vibe, and they have a great collection of

gifts and you can even order coffee or wine while

you hang out. Next walks three minutes over to yes,

You might think this feels random for Waco and you're not alone.

But this place was surprisingly neat and very interesting.

There's so much history throughout and you can even make your own

soda, ending with a Dr Pepper of course, or a float

Next, we're making an obligatory stop at Magnolia Market at the silos.

You just can't come to Waco and skip this magic.

They have all sorts of small boutiques within the complex

and my favorite was hands down the plant store.

you're going to take about a 10 minute walk over to Waco Ale Company.

This brewery is no frills, but they have over a dozen craft beers on tap

so sit back and enjoy one until your e-bikes arrive.

Neither of us had ever ridden e-bikes before,

but Kevin gave us the rundown and then we were off.

We took the most beautiful ride through Cameron Park and of

course stopped to take pics and take it all in.

I truly couldn't believe this was in Waco.

Your last stop is through the pink door where you'll find Sloan's, the cutest

little cocktail bar that feels like you time traveled back to the seventies.

They have goldfish for bar snacks and they make

the most delicious cocktails to round out your day.

All you gotta do is pick a day and head down to Waco soon!

• Guests are encouraged to dress on theme if they’re really feeling it in their best 1980s office party outfits, Hand Gruber get ups or a John McClane white tank (but shoes are required 😁).
• You can host parties or private events here as well.  You just need to submit a request through their website.

💪 Pro tips
• They have happy hours daily from 4-7 pm where they offer “Happy Meals,” which includes a Saturn Ripper (Hot Dog), fries, a High Life and a shot for $10. They also have plenty of $8 classic cocktails during Happy Hour.
• For food, I recommend the LA Hot Dog (bacon wrapped, sautéed onions, bell pepper, jalapeños) and the Smoked Wings. Personally, I enjoyed the Lemon Pepper flavor for the wings.  They also offer Buffalo, Garlic Parm, and Curry Carolina BBQ as other flavor options for wings.
• For drinks, I recommend the I Am An Exceptional Thief (Spiced tea-infused Bacardi Ocho, blackstrap molasses, ginger, sweet vermouth, caramelized milk powder) and the Universal Terrorist Playbook (Illegal mezcal hot chocolate, creole shrub, cinnamon whip).

Head to Saturn Cocktail Club

If you are a fan of the movie Die Hard and you love the holidays, then this plan is for you.

It is a bar located on Congress Avenue downtown.

They have a full Die Hard themed Christmas pop-up bar with so many Easter eggs that reference the movie.

They have a ton of games and activities that you can enjoy from video games to board games.

The movie references in this bar are so well thought out.

They even have a fire hose reference that you can swing on.

At a certain point, you’ll want some food and drinks.

They have happy hours every day from 4 to 7 p.m. where they offer Happy Meals, which includes a hot dog, fries, a High Life, and a shot for just $10.

In addition, they play different Die Hard movies weekly on multiple screens for you to enjoy while you eat, drink and have fun.

They set up specific scenes from the movie in the bar as well.

For drinks, personally, I recommend the Universal Terrorist Playbook and The I Am An Exceptional Thief.

Both were delicious and they hit the spot.

We chose Lemon Pepper flavor and enjoyed it.

• You may be able to get a walk-in seat at the bar, but it is not guaranteed and reservations are the best way to ensure you get a table.
• There is indoor and outdoor seating available.
• It is a bit pricey with costs of $150-$200 per person.

💪 Pro tips
• They offer 4 course meals (3 savory and 1 dessert). Each course will offer 3-4 options for you to select from.
• My recommendations for food are the Wagyu Ribeye, Dayboat Fish, and Oysters “Rockafella.”
• For drinks, they offer cocktails, beer, wine and non-alcoholic options. You can request for wine pairing recommendations with courses as well. My personal favorite drink is the Old Fashioned.

Make Your Way to Olamaie

If you enjoy treating yourself to a fine dining experience, then this plan is a must for you to check out.

It is a Southern influenced restaurant in an elegant, refurbished home.

They have great drink options between cocktails, beer and wine in a small and intimate venue.

They offer 4 course meals (3 savory and 1 dessert).

They have different twists and concepts that you won't see at most restaurants.

Cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious.

My personal favorite dish while I was there.

They even brought out a special treat for us and made us feel special the entire night.

An unbelievable experience that had us smiling the entire evening.
