💪 Pro tips
• If you have flexible work hours/location, I highly recommend going on a weekday. Here’s how I did it:
 1) Leave Seattle at 8:30AM, drive 30-45 min to Narrative Coffee in Everett (https://narrative.coffee/)
2) Grab coffee/breakfast and work for ~2 hours
3) Drive to the farm around 11:00AM (30 min)
4) Pick berries for ~45 min
5) Leave Arlington around noon and drive an hour back to the city. 
With this schedule we avoided traffic in every direction, and it was the best two hour work break I could ask for!
• The U-pick price is currently $4.25 per pound, and if there’s a change you’ll see it on their website. There’s a $10 minimum for picking. Our full basket was $18
• If you miss strawberry szn, raspberries come next (should be late June)


Pick berries at Biringer Farm

It's strawberry season and you can pick delicious berries an hour from the city.

It’ll be much less crowded on a weekday,

so if you have a somewhat flexible work schedule,

check the plan details for tips on how to pull it off midweek.

But here's what you can expect at the farm.

You'll head inside to grab your basket and the staff

will direct you to the area that's ripe for picking.

I can't believe I've never done this before.

It was the most pleasant little scavenger hunt.

Resisting the temptation to eat them right in the field was tough.

Once you filled your basket head inside to weigh

and pay and grab a quick strawberry flavored treat.

The season doesn't last long. So get out there this week.

Did you know there's a secret tomb you can raid right near Post alley?

and British accents to the Tomb Raiders experience.

This is probably one of the most immersive ones,

but it made it all the better when we did solve any.

Each room had so much to do and you definitely needed

a good sized group to get through all four rooms.

A Middle Eastern comfort food brunch that feels like sunshine on a chilly November morning. Head to Falafel Salam in West Seattle 

isn't there something about early November comfort food brunches,

we ended up at Falafel Salaam in West Seattle,

the same place where I'd fallen in love with

their pita wraps from a food truck months ago.

Their food is all freshly made from laffa flatbread to the falafel.

herby and everything you want when it's cold outside.

There's something really special about Middle Eastern comfort food in fall,

and that kind of freshness you can actually taste.

but November day nights are the coziest in the most romantic way,

especially when you end up at a buzzing place like Urban Better.

It's got that fancy but vintage kind of charm.

We started with Dolores Parks swizzle and a Singapore sling for cocktails

I realized my newly found love for Brussels sprouts.

The second out of cocktails were the vodka and tequila whimsy,

which were surprise custom drinks by the bartender,

and a deconstructed cheesecake at the end.

The 90 minute Expedition 

We raided the secret tomb under the postal in Seattle in 90 minutes,

and we barely managed to escape the 6 rooms.

Our guide Alex led us into the expedition campsite,

where there were tents and reserves scattered everywhere.

Then we descended deep into the temple of fire,

where we had to solve the ancient fire deity

rituals before the temple literally erupted round us.

where we were sifting through abandoned equipment.

Connecting their discoveries to piece together the mystery.

we stepped on pressure tiles with the lit up skulls around the

room trying to figure out the pattern to unlock the exit.

When we finally solved the last puzzle and emerged from underground back onto

the post alley in downtown Seattle after 90 minutes in those ancient tombs,

It's the perfect escape room experience to do with

your friends or colleagues for some thrilling activity.
