💪 Pro tips

• Plan better than I did (especially if you’re a woman of color) and wash your hair in advance to save the time when you get there
• Bring your own shampoo if you don’t want to use what they provide 
• The post-float shower is important – be sure to thoroughly rinse (especially your face) if you don’t want to have leftover salt stuck to the side of your face lol 
• We were in a single float tank for the content, but the larger one comfortably fits two 
• I wished I’d thugged it out a little longer on the cold plunge – I’ve heard it has great benefits – so hang in there if you can

If you need me, I'll be here floating and depriving my senses… if you're confused

Don't worry. I was too before doing this, but I heard great things about float tanks

I'm a big fan of treating myself like almost to a fault

We grabbed some CBD drinks for the ultimate relaxation

and the staff gave us a tour of the facility. 

just like the opportunity to relax this place as you covered.

a cold plunge and infrared sauna room and several other services.

After we showered, we plugged our ears and got on in.

So the float cabin holds like 1100lbs of epsom salt

which is why you're able to float effortlessly.

It's giving the dead sea without having to travel.

The magnesium sulfate acts as a muscle relaxer,

anti inflammatory and a detoxification agent and it's hella relaxing.

Eventually, we were brave enough to close the cabin door for the full experience.

But don't worry, you can opt to keep the lights on.

After our float we headed to the fire and ice room to push all sorts of boundaries.

My girl here got in so gracefully and handled it like an actual champ.

Me, on the other hand, I hate being cold, but I also hate to feel like a loser.

So I managed for approximately 0.3 seconds just to be able to say I did it.

which was obviously warm but also really cool because you

can watch an actual show during your sweat sesh.

we walked just around the corner to Feng Cha for another little treat.

I got the Thai iced tea and she got a Vietnamese iced coffee

and it was just what we needed to round out the day.

We had an incredible time and learned so much

in our Mozzco cheesemaking class with Mozzarella Company.

He taught us how to make all of these cheeses.

we got prepped with these aprons that we got to take home.

Mauricio taught us about the history of Mozzarella Company and Paula Lambert,

We got a tour of the facility and got to see all

the cool and unique cheeses that they craft every single day.

I love the story about the Deep Ellum Blues.

so we heated up milk and poured in the lemon juice and stirred until we got our curds.

We then scooped the ricotta and sifted into our baskets.

Mauricio demonstrated how to make every single cheese for our class,

so the next one were these mozzarella balls.

Each cheese we made starts with the same foundation,

The next cheese we made was the Oaxaca cheese.

she traveled a lot to get expert advice on how to make her cheeses.

and then we got to shape our Oaxaca cheese,

The last one we made was a mozzarella roll with an olive spread in the middle,

got to take all of our cheeses home and we

ended the class with wine and a nice cheese spread.

We got to take a look behind the scenes of this iconic churro spot,

so we got to watch them pipe their churros,

We got a churro box which comes with 4 different churros.

They drop them in their associated sugars.

Natalie got their signature set with half and half ice cream.

and it's topped off with an ube churro and some delicious ube sauce.

They even torch the cheese on it and melt it and sprinkle it with some seasoning.

She said the flavors all went really well together and

I could not wait to get into the churro box.
