• They have different types of bungalows and suites that you can choose from. We stayed at the Studio Bungalow, which came equipped with brooklinen bedding and robes, towels, a fantastic shower, shampoo & conditioner, a blow drier, and a wireless speaker
• Before your arrival, you'll receive an email containing all the necessary information about the property. It will include a passcode for your room, allowing you to skip the in-person check-in process. You'll just go straight to your room and enter with the code
• Sunscreen, beach hat, and purse are available for purchase.
• There are a few grocery stores to choose from. Keep in mind that the studio doesen't come with a mini fridge, so I recommend getting snacks like some chips, and candies.

💪 Pro tips
• You can access your room at 3 pm, so you can drop your things and still have time to catch some beach time. 
• Take a 20-minute walk to Ponquogue Beach. If you decide to drive there, the only available parking is paid, and it costs $30.

• They offer $10 margaritas every day, all day. What could be better? I had their classic margarita, and it was delicious.

• Hours are Thursday: 4 pm-9 pm, Saturday & Sunday: 4 pm-10 pm.
• The food was so flavorful! The tacos and the guac were my favorites. When you go there, give it a try!

At Meschutt Beach County Park, enjoy paddle boarding and kayaking, starting at $40/hr with P&L Watersports. Arrive early to secure parking.

Water Sports

✅ Before you go
• The beach offers free access to people. If you're driving, parking is available, and it costs $18
• Bring chairs, beach towels, an umbrella, and plenty of water! This way, you can relax and have a great time at the beach.  

💪 Pro tips
• We arrived around 10 am, and it was easy to find a parking spot. However, as the hours passed, the beach became very busy, and when we left (around 1 pm), parking was hard to find. So, I highly recommend getting there earlier in the day.
• We rented Stand-Up Paddle equipment from P&L Watersports and paid $40 for one hour. They open at 11 am, and you can call in advance to make reservations. Check their website to book your rental http://www.plwatersports.com/ 

Practice Water Sports at Meschutt Beach

Enjoy Duck Walk Vineyards with wine tastings for $16 per person, offering a selection of four wines, in a scenic setting with fun games like corn hole.

✅ Before you go
• The wine tasting happens from 11m-5 pm Monday-Friday, and 11 am to 6 pm on Saturday and Sunday. They have private parking, so you don't have to worry about that.
• For groups of 6 or more, reservations are required. If you're going with a smaller group, you can simply walk into the vineyard. 
• The wine tasting costs $16 per person, and you can choose four different types of wines to sample. 

💪 Pro tips
• Their Riesling was delicious ~ it’s a must-try~  We enjoyed it so much that we ended up getting a bottle ($21.95). 
• If you are a fan of dessert wine, you have to try the 2021 Aphrodite. We had and it was phenomenal! 
• Challenge your wine buddy to a game of corn hole in the outdoor area of the vineyard. It's a lot of fun

Sip🍷 at Duck Walk Vineyards 

So I went on a relaxing summer getaway where

I stayed at a beachside bungalow did some paddling,

hit up a vineyard, had dinner with a killer view and much more.

Let me tell you how I did so you can do it too!

Cozy stay was at The Inn Spot in Hampton Bays, which is

only an hour and a half drive from the city.

They have modern beachside bungalows with a

relaxed vibe, and everything is contactless.

They email you your key code and when you arrive, you just need to get into your room.

packed with the comfiest bed, and all the

shower essentials, including in Brooklinen bathrobe.

We got settled in and took a quick 20 minute

walk to check out the beach before heading back to

our dinner at The Crash Cantina. Conveniently located right next

door to our room, and with a gorgeous waterfront view,

this eclectic restaurante served some delectable

$10 margaritas all night. With delicious ceviche, guac,

and my personal favorite: their amazing tacos,

The next morning we decided to work off those margs with some water

Beach, where you can rent paddle boards and kayaks while soaking up the sun.

Later in the evening, we refreshed ourselves with a wine tasting at Duck Walk 

Vineyards. With amazing vibes and only $16 per person for a phenomenal tasting,

This stop was totally worth it. On our last day,

we choose a chill morning, with one more walk along

the pier to appreciate this relaxing weekend before heading home.

Head to Rockaway beach

Did you know you can take the ferry to Rockaway Beach and get there in under an hour?

If you're looking for beach gear like towels and chairs,

we got ours from Target for under $10 each item,

The waves were huge and everyone was having the best time in the water.

I really wanted to make a little art piece that

we could bring home and commemorate the beach day.

So I had this idea to paint the sea and use glue to add sand and seashells.

It's super beginner friendly and I'm literally going to think about this beach

day every time I see our artwork hung up in our home.

We took the ferry back during sunset and the views were amazing.

it was time for Gary Ferrar's magic show.

part out because this magician was mischievous.

but then he would close the loop later on.

It was really well orchestrated and highly theatrical,

He definitely had us all walking away quite mystified and wondering how he did it.

we could see him having his own show in Vegas one day.

he has a show about once a month of the Algonquins,

so definitely try to catch him while he has his residency.

Take Metro North to Croton Harmon, then Uber to Croton Gorge Park for scenic waterfall views, a relaxing picnic, and an easy hike to the dam top!

• get metro north tickets to Croton Harmon $11.25 one way
• bring everything you need (we packed a ton of food)
• once at Croton Harmon, get an uber to Croton Gorge Park (~$10) 

💪 Pro tips
• we saw people grilling - bring your own grill and everything you need if you want to barbecue 
• go early, we got there at 9am 
• it can get crowded and if you’re driving entrance fee is $10 and parking is limited
• highly recommend doing the footpath to the top of the dam (don’t bring too many things if you want to do this or take turns to go up)

Take the metro north to Croton Harmon 

amazing waterfall views that's easy to get to?

This is your sign to take the Metro North from

Grand Central to Croton Harman in under an hour.

Then take a 7 minute Uber to reach Croton Gorge Park and enjoy these stunning views.

We found a picnic table right under a tree with a view of the waterfall dam,

and enjoyed the views while feasting on all the food we brought.

An ice cream truck pulled up and we definitely got some!

We played some badminton and games we brought before

following the footpath to the top of the dam.

It was only 12 minutes to reach the top and oh wow,
