• Book your kayak before you go (single Kayak $10.99 for half an hour or 14.99 for a double): (https://www.kayakshare.com/marina-beach-park-edmonds-wa-kayak-rental). I recommend booking for at least 2 hours, it takes a few minutes and a good amount of effort to get down to the water and back to the check in spot after
• You’ll use your phone to unlock the kayak, make sure it’s charged!
• Read through the website’s safety rules and all other important information before you get there
• Check the local weather, forecast, wind (they advise you not to kayak if the wind speed is more than 5 to 10 mph), and sunrise/sunset times (https://www.theweathernetwork.com/us/forecasts/beaches/washington/edmonds-marina-beach-park)
• The beach closes at sunset and they will lock the gates. Give yourself time to lock up your boat and pack up your things before then!

💪 Pro tips
• If you’re going with a friend, rent a 2 person kayak, you’ll save money and it’s so much more manageable to carry one kayak back and forth
• Bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat. Your rental comes with a life jacket

💪 Pro tips
• Sit outside on their covered heated deck for the best views of the ferry, trains passing by, and the beach! It’s perfect in any weather
• Every first and third Wednesday there’s live music 
• If you are waiting to be seated on the outdoor patio, walk over to Brackett’s Landing beach across the street for stunning views of the Puget Sound and Mount Baker

There's a self serve kayak rental in Edmonds

and it's quickly becoming my favorite summer activity.

you'll get sent a code that opens a smart lock with

keys inside to unlock your kayak paddles and life jacket.

I love how there's so much to see on the water.

I still get excited every time I see a bit of marine life!

We saw the most adorable seals playfully popping up

to say hi and show off their swimming skills.

We stayed pretty close to the shore since it was our

first time and enjoyed taking in the surroundings. When you're done

you'll be so ready to treat yourself to food after all that exercise.

We definitely were! We popped on some dry clothes and drove over to Demetris.

It has the loveliest outdoor patio with views for days.

I went the seafood route to match the theme of our outing.

tuna fish tacos with the sweet potato fries but

I don't think you can go wrong! Watching the sunset and

basking in golden hour is the very best summer vibe.

• The class is very immersive! Get ready to get your hands dirty! (Keep that in mind if you have a severe food allergy.) 🧑‍🍳👩‍🍳

Book a class and roll up your sleeves!

The cookware store hosts several different types of cooking classes,

and tonight our recipes are based in Thailand.

A chef guides you through the process step by step,

but you get to do everything from the preparation to the cooking and the plating.

These classes are a bit more expensive at almost $100 per person,

but I was really impressed with how much we got to do with the experience

Our shrimp barely be to the end of the meal.

I think we had 4 left by the time we played and everything,

but all of the food we made definitely passed the taste test.

If you love Chinese food, you have to try Jiang Nan in Bellevue WA. The food here is amazing!
