• There’s typically always space at the bar at Miriam, so no need for a reservation on a weekday. Other restaurants in the area like Salumeria Rosi will require at least an hour and a half wait without a reservation.

The OG Levain Bakery

If you have ever seen a show on the Upper West Side after work,

you know how hard it is to find a cheap and good restaurant.

Well, fear not, we found a place for under $30 for drinks and mezzes

grab a bar seat at Miriam on 74th and start ordering - time is a ticking until your show.

which came with real lavender and a little candied lemon slice.

For apps we grabbed the hummus platter and the falafel plate.

Okay - it's only 30 minutes till call time, but you just realized the OG Levain

walk down into the original bakery where you

can see where the Levain magic all started.

You don't need to get fancy here. All you really need is the chocolate walnut cookie.

Ok. Snarf that down in one or two bites and head right over to your show.

One thing about me is I love a trippy activity.

This was an immersive yoga and sound bath event at Shift Midtown.

This was unlike anything I've ever experienced.

The whole time, we were watching these really cool projections.

We laid back for the live sound bath portion and it was so amazing.

You're definitely going to want to check it out.

You actually get to make pasta from scratch,

Decide what we would get for the 3 course meal,

and we were given these really cute aprons.

Now we got to make 4 different types of fresh pasta from scratch.

Here I'm making gargganelli from scratch,

I think this was the most difficult one out of the 4.

And then we got to make spaghetti with this machine,

which was the best I've ever had in New York City.

I highly recommend you plan this for your next date night.

• the bus drops you off at the side of the farm where it’s closer to the farmers and makers market, highly recommend exploring the other side where the windmill is and making your way back (since that’s where the bus is)  
• if you’d want to pick your tulips to bring home, pick a bucket and pay at the end
• opening weekend included inflatables, face painting and a bubble shoe and new fill a bucket promo (skip the check out and keep the bucket too!)
• there are food trucks, makers and farm sets market, bakery, brewery and more!
• free tractor shuttle: highly recommend, the farm is HUGE 
• They also have horse and carriage and pony rides!
• you can feed the farm animals, and take pics with them!

If you're looking for the perfect spring day trip from NYC,

We took a bus straight from the city and arrived at Holland Ridge Farms,

There are over 8 million tulips in bloom and you can actually pick your own.

The windmill is stunning and there are cute photo spots everywhere.

So many food options from food trucks to local vendors,

plus there are farm animals like sheep and cows,

This was our first time at a tulip farm and it was so worth it.
