• We opted for the Walden suite w/ a soaking tub & I couldn't recommend it more for a relaxing, private escape! 
• They also have stunning clawfoot indoor tubs in their Alpine suite, which is high on my list to check out next time 
• You'll lose cell service abt 20 mins out from the Lodge. You can connect to wifi if you want, but I say lean in and put the phones away all wknd!

• They host plenty of events & free experiences on wknds. You'll get an email about what's happening during your stay after booking. Def try axe throwing if they have it when you go! 
• Check out the sauna! you can reserve a specific time to keep it private 
• You'll get cute on-theme Pendleton robes in your room - you can def walk around the property in them if you like 
• Order the fried chicken sandwich & fried with aioli from the Parlor (lobby) menu, thank me later
• They'll give you a guidebook on hikes in the area. We opted for a moderate 2-mile hike called the Tanbark Loop in Phoenicia: https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/new-york/tanbark-loop

I just found my new favorite getaway at this

epic lodge Upstate where we spent the entire weekend,

rail biking, hiking, swimming, and so much more.

First thing we did was make a pit stop at Rail Explorers in the Catskills.

railroad tracks for 2.5 hours with epic views.

It's seriously so fun and unique. Don't skip it.

Then we checked into the Urban Cowboy Lodge,

which might just be one of the coolest places I've ever stayed.

Our room actually had a private patio with this heated Japanese soaking tub

that I probably could have stayed in all weekend and been happy.

We eventually pulled ourselves away to check out the rest of

the cabin which brings quirky chic to a whole new level.

This place is definitely high-end but not at all in a stuffy way.

I can't rave enough about the relaxed, fun vibe here.

They also have a live DJ on Friday nights and a

downstairs lounge with pool and plenty of other games to get into.

The next morning, we got up early to do a two mile hike called the Tanbark Loop.

We spent the rest of the day back at the hotel doing all kinds of activities

they had set up, our favorites being this semi-private creek,

And we loved checking out this spa situation,

which looks like something straight out of The Hobbit,

we checked out the hotel's farm-to-table restaurant in the main lodge,

which has tons of seasonal dishes and a great wine selection.

Then we just spent the rest of the night in this gorgeous freaking lodge.

We were sipping cocktails and, of course, we ended up making some s'mores.

I spent as much time as possible in this tub before we headed out to the Phoenicia Diner.

Highly recommended chorizo breakfast sandwich here. It's awesome.

we checked out the actual town of Phoenicia which has

plenty of art, antiques, and thrifting to get into.

Also, don't sleep on The Ice Cream Station. Trust me.

So, grab your adventure buddy and book this dream getaway as soon as you can.

I love how we got to write down a word that resonated with us on our matchbox

and then lit our intention candles with it.

We drew and painted on the canvas and our bodies

and even danced a little in response to each prompt.

It was such a loving space of vulnerability,

I've never played with paint like this before and my inner child was so happy.

It was so transformative and I left feeling re-centered and loved 💕
