• They have all sorts of classes – I have my eye on the ceramic mug class because who doesn’t love/need a new mug (I don’t need one, but this one is special)
• Each of the 6 resident artists run their businesses independently, so you are supporting each individual artist by taking one of their classes
• You can grab a beer from the onsite brewery and enjoy it with most classes 


Take a class at Trade Oak Cliff 

So I was very much the kid who loved art class.

So when my friend invited me to check out Trade Oak Cliff and their new digs, I was like...

Trade Oak Cliff is a collective art studio founded by former art teachers.

They teach a variety of pottery and art classes

And recently just moved into a bigger studio where you can pop in to

buy art made by the resident artists or take one of their many classes.

We signed up for the ceramic trays class which

allowed you to make things like incense holders,

catchalls or whatever you could dream up, really.

Cori is one of the studio owners and there's no doubt that she used to be

an art teacher because she sat us down and gave us a very thorough how to,

before sending us off to the races... that is to work independently,

Not gonna lie for someone who fancies herself a creative

I got super hung up on what I was going to make and I didn't see

the light at the end of the tunnel for a long while during this process.

But then the vision slowly started to come together,

And honestly, that's the best I could hope for.

I made a seashell shaped tray and chose a white glaze

that should be ready to pick up within a few weeks.

And everyone else's projects were so impressive.

This is one of those places that I wish I could

gatekeep to ensure there's always a spot for me.

So run, don't walk over to Trade Oak Cliff for a class before I change my mind.

mimosas with this super fresh peach and orange juice.

my absolute favorite item off their brunch menu is the Torrijas!

they also have a super fun tradition where they

pour wine into your mouth out of a Parron.

They also have the freshest sangria ever.

Catbird is definitely one of the best bars in Dallas! My absolute favorite drink was the Oko Ono, if you go you HAVE to try it out. They have a great DJ, a patio with a beautiful view, and the perfect aesthetic to go with the most perfect cocktails.

Catbird Bar

Catbird has to be one of the coolest bars in all of Dallas,

and I was so excited to finally get the chance to hop on over and check it out.

She got the origamos and I got the catbird,

Dani also really loved these spicy shrimp tacos.

Everyone kept telling me my dress matched the bathroom,

and they have a really nice bar and outdoor patio if you're waiting for your table.

We ended our evening with a haiku cocktail and a nitro espresso martini.
