• Von Sauna is located in Kirkland, WA. Book your appointment here: https://vonsauna.co/
• Daily appointments available starting with a sunrise session at 7AM and running through the sunset session at 4PM
• The sauna fits up to 12 people. Book a private session for you and your crew or book a single seat for a shared experience with others
• Private session lasts 2.5 hours while the social experience lasts 75 minutes
• Besides yourself, bring 2 towels, a bathing suit, and water bottle
• Von will provide a waiver to sign prior to your visit

💪 Pro tips
• Arrive early to park and get changed before your session begins
• Bring a robe or change of clothes for afterwards
• Shoes aren’t allowed in the sauna, but slides are recommended to walk between the sauna and cold plunge
• Metal gets HOT in the sauna; bring a thick plastic bottle, like a Nalgene, if possible

Come join us for a rainy Sunday morning in a floating sauna.

We were getting our sweat on while floating on Lake Washington

a quick natural cold plunge while enjoying an empty,

Our sauna master had snowballs scented with our choice of essential oils

that filled the room with steam and had us warmed up quickly.

I convinced myself to do a true cold plunge, and while shocking,

it was actually quite enjoyable to completely cool

down before reimmersing myself in the heat.

I really can't describe how relaxing this was.

💪 Pro tips
• There is often plenty of street parking on the east side of Cal Anderson park (about 2 blocks from the studio).
•  I also enjoy Jess Klein’s heated vinyasa class. If you decide to take a heated class from Sweatbox, PLEASE BE AWARE THAT IT IS VERY VERY HOT! A DRYP heated class, for instance, feels cool compared to a Sweatbox heated vinyasa — please be prepared, rest when you need to and bring lots of water!

• The blueberry matcha is made with oat milk — I recommend keeping it and not substituting :) 
• If the plush chairs by the window aren’t available, I recommend heading downstairs to the couch!

you know that I practice yoga at DRYP in South Lake Union,

but I also go to Sweatbox Yoga in Capitol Hill.

but they also have a loft area that offers unheated classes.

there is a door in your loft with a keypad,

Y'all know that I love Kelly Fulford's class over at DRYP,

so I basically followed her over to Sweatbox to take her Saturday morning vinyasa.

so I recommend getting there early to get a prime spot.

I personally like to be at the front because I don't like looking at

And I really like this class because it's more

of a creative flow and perfect for all levels.

Just a couple blocks away is Anchorhead Coffee where I get a blueberry matcha.

but it also kind of tastes like a Froot Loop,

But this is such a treat to get after yoga.

• Prices vary! Box office films are about $21, but a lot of one-off movies are cheaper! In this case, I saw Blue Velvet and my ticket was $7!

It's no secret that I love to go to the movies and

which is why I like to check back frequently.

The auditorium itself is big but not too big,

and I actually like the fact that you can't reserve seats.

This pizza was so big it tried to be a third wheel on a date night.

Last Friday we explored Rocco's on 2nd Avenue.

It turned out to be the kind of place with low lighting,

and the smell of garlic and melted cheese in the air.

we had the cheesy garlic herb focaccia with marinara sauce.

It raised our expectations for the pizza to be even more satisfying,

Our half jalapeno face and half tikka tikka pizza arrived,

The chicken tikka hit all the right notes for Indian taste buds,

while the jalapeno face with all the cream cheese bread

crumbs really took the pizza to the next level.
