Nothing is cozier than candles in winter,

so the girls and I decided to make our own,

followed by an amazing cocktail to treat ourselves.

We started at Weathered Wick in the Highlands.

They have multiple sizes of glassware and 50 scents,

including classics like Sandalwood and Eucalyptus and

more exciting scents such as Amber Noir and

it was time to narrow it down to three scents so we could customize our candles.

It takes about three hours for the candles to cure,

so we spent some time at the new Golden Hour wine bar for wine and cocktails.

They have wine flights and great mocktails too.

This decor is so fun in the bar and lounge area.

So if you're looking to burn time with your girls,

The Welch Ditch Trail is an hike near Golden with views. 

Clear Creek Canyon Hike 

Park at Gateway Trailhead in Clear Creek Canyon Park for easy access to the scenic Welch Ditch Trail, which follows the creek with canyon and mountain views.

There are a few options to access the trail. 
• The most direct is parking at the Gateway Trailhead then crossing over the creek on the footbridge. 
• If this lot is full, you can also park in downtown Golden then walk west along Clear Creek to get to the footbridge.

As someone who has always been immensely afraid of heights,

I never imagined you'd catch me flipping from a trapeze bar,

Fly Mile High was the perfect way to conquer my fears and try something new.

we went through a safety briefing and instructions,

including on the ground training before climbing the ladder.

To say I was nervous is the understatement of the century,

but the Fly Mile High team completely calmed my fears,

I was feeling like a real circus performer.

This group of total strangers were all cheering for each other like mad by the end,

and I truly can't remember the last time I felt that empowered.

We decided to treat ourselves with a sweet treat after,

so made our way over to Frozen Spirals for some rolled ice cream.

This was the most unexpectedly fun outing,

Denver's Parks and Rec maintains gorgeous parks all over the city,

but did you know they also have a bunch of golf courses,

We decided to enjoy some old school mini golf and

played 18 holes at the Kennedy putt putt course.

and we enjoyed a little friendly competition before dinner.

Afterwards we went right across the street to Pupusasy Tacos Los Reyes.

This restaurant is one of the only in town

who currently has the viral soft serve margarita.

This was a decadent treat not to be missed,

and their tacos and papusas made for the perfect date night meal.

New Terrain will forever be my favorite brewery,

but it just got exponentially better with its baby goat nights.

New Terrain is the perfect Colorado spot.

make your way to New Terrain to enjoy your favorite beers and food,

you'll have the opportunity to love on some of the coolest and cutest goats around.

The team from Guided Goat Hikes will be at the brewery with about a dozen

miniature goats of all ages and sizes who all love to socialize and cuddle.

we also checked out the Wandering Book Co for an awesome selection of books

and grabbed an ice cream sandwich from a local vendor.
