If you're looking for a wellness retreat that doesn't require a flight,

I met so many amazing women and spent the weekend doing all of my favorite things.

There were daily workouts, guided hikes in the woods, a sound bath meditation,

We went to Windham Manor just three hours north of the city. It

has this beautiful barn attached to it where we’d do most of our workouts,

There was even a gym downstairs if you wanted to do your own thing.

We had private chefs come in and prepare healthy lunches and dinners

and everything was so tasty and so nutritious.

Probably the craziest thing we did all weekend was a cold plunge,

I spent it reading, making friendship bracelets, and journaling.

This was my favorite event to-date, and I can't wait to go to the next one.

• bring food! We packed a picnic and was well stocked 
• art materials if you wanna do the art activity - blue and white paint, paintbrush, paper/ small canvas, glue 
• there are ice cream vendors walking around the beach as well!

Did you know you can take the ferry to Rockaway Beach and get there in under an hour?

If you're looking for beach gear like towels and chairs,

we got ours from Target for under $10 each item,

The waves were huge and everyone was having the best time in the water.

I really wanted to make a little art piece that

we could bring home and commemorate the beach day.

So I had this idea to paint the sea and use glue to add sand and seashells.

It's super beginner friendly and I'm literally going to think about this beach

day every time I see our artwork hung up in our home.

We took the ferry back during sunset and the views were amazing.

it was time for Gary Ferrar's magic show.

part out because this magician was mischievous.

but then he would close the loop later on.

It was really well orchestrated and highly theatrical,

He definitely had us all walking away quite mystified and wondering how he did it.

we could see him having his own show in Vegas one day.

he has a show about once a month of the Algonquins,

so definitely try to catch him while he has his residency.

Grab your friends and have the best picnic day trip with amazing waterfall views and easy hike!

Take Metro North to Croton Harmon, then Uber to Croton Gorge Park for scenic waterfall views, a relaxing picnic, and an easy hike to the dam top!

• get metro north tickets to Croton Harmon $11.25 one way
• bring everything you need (we packed a ton of food)
• once at Croton Harmon, get an uber to Croton Gorge Park (~$10) 

💪 Pro tips
• we saw people grilling - bring your own grill and everything you need if you want to barbecue 
• go early, we got there at 9am 
• it can get crowded and if you’re driving entrance fee is $10 and parking is limited
• highly recommend doing the footpath to the top of the dam (don’t bring too many things if you want to do this or take turns to go up)

Take the metro north to Croton Harmon

This is your sign to take the Metro North from

Grand Central to Croton Harman in under an hour.

Then take a 7 minute Uber to reach Croton Gorge Park and enjoy these stunning views.

We found a picnic table right under a tree with a view of the waterfall dam,

and enjoyed the views while feasting on all the food we brought.

An ice cream truck pulled up and we definitely got some!

We played some badminton and games we brought before

following the footpath to the top of the dam.

It was only 12 minutes to reach the top and oh wow,

Let me put you on this hidden gem in K-town with the

best wings at this really cute Korean gastropub called Turntable LP.

So we got soju because how can you eat snacky Korean food without soju?
