• Walk in and grab a spot at their lounge area for happy hour - no reservations are needed or accepted. We had no issue grabbing a table 😊

• You must try the Waygu sliders and Yellowtail, they were our fave!
• The Lychee Martini was so refreshing 

Enjoy Nobu’s Happy Hour

I love Nobu and I usually go for a more special occasion, but they're happy hour

makes it so you and your bestie can just go casually on a weekday.

The vibe in there alone is just so chic. It made our happy hour feel really special.

Grateful for my bestie because we have the same

taste in food and absolutely devour the Wagyu sliders.

Thinking about them now is making me really hungry

and we couldn't stop thinking about the yellow tail we had too.

I would definitely rec getting the Lychee

Martini. It's perfect for spring and it's just super refreshing.

If you're looking for an amazing and delicious happy hour, you've got to go to Nobu.

If you’re downtown and looking for a way to get some fresh air, you can take a walk through Maggie Daley Plaza. It’s a nice place to enjoy nature in the middle of the concrete jungle. Also, if it happens to be the 2nd Fridays of the month, you can visit the Fine Arts Building a few blocks away for Second Fridays where they open the building for you to see and hear from different artists for free!

Enjoy a peaceful walk or outdoor activities like rock climbing and mini golf at Maggie Daley Park, a nature oasis in Chicago's downtown Loop.

• You can RSVP ahead of time on their website, https://www.fineartsbuilding.com/events/second-fridays/  but it’s not required if you want to attend spontaneously. 
💪 Pro tips
• There are a wide range of artists here, so I’d recommend showing up closer to 5pm so you can have the full 4 hours to browse around and see (or hear) what you find! 


Second Fridays 

Apart from the hustle and bustle of downtown,

Taking a walk through the Maggie Daley Park is one way.

this park offers a great moment of tranquility.

It's not as big as Millennium Park or Grant Park,

but it allows you an opportunity to take in

the fresh air with a little less foot traffic.

If you find yourself downtown on the 2nd Friday of the month,

you can just take another 10 minute walk down Michigan Ave,

or through Grant Park and find the Fine Arts Building.

Here, you'll find their monthly event called Second Fridays,

where you have the opportunity to explore all 10 floors of

the history and art that lives in the Fine Arts building.

There is so much creativity and artistry that you can find at Second Fridays.

You'll find visual artists of every medium,

there is also a bookstore within the building that

you can buy books from up until 7 o'clock.

You never know what you'll find at Second Fridays. 

I stumbled upon a full stage play read while I was there.

So, I highly recommend making plans for the next Second Fridays at the Fine Arts building.

Here's a perfect arts and crafts day in Lincoln Park.

Start by heading to La Colombe and try their newest draft latte flavor.

It's seasonal and it changes all the time,

but I got the banana bread and it was incredible.

They have a ton of options to choose from,

and all the paint and tools that you'll need are included.

cup that I could then turn into a pencil holder for my desk,

and I took my time painting and building it

just think about things that you like and paint them on there.

Or they also have a bunch of stencils that you can use that are really helpful.

so you can pick it up later and actually use it at home.

2.  Dinner at Mott St. 🍔

This is the plan for the best views and the best burger,

my boyfriend and I went to the Kennedy rooftop at the Hyatt Place Hotel.

You just have to go up to the rooftop on floor 7.

We didn't even need a reservation for a Friday night.

Then we headed over a 6-minute walk to Mott Street.

I had heard about the burger here so many times,

They also have some more Asian fusion foods if you're in the mood for that as well.

so I would make sure to get a reservation.

We started with the Brussels sprouts cause we had heard really good things.

Then we ordered another drink that were a little bit funky,

this burger was gigantic and absolutely delicious.

we had to end with this Snicker-inspired sweet treat.
