This is the perfect spot to grab lunch after a morning hot girl walk down lady bird lake. Lots of delicious and heathy salads and smoothies!

Night owl? 🦉:
The cocktail lounge inside is a great way to start the evening. Once it gets darker walk one block down to 4th street and enjoy the bars and clubs!!

I went to the soft launch of Manny's a brand new restaurant in Austin,

Texas located under the Hanover on West fifth

This place is so pretty. When I own a home, 

This video is gonna be part of the mood board for it.

Manny's specializes in sandwiches which are perfect for the spring.

I took a seat at the patio where all the plants blocked out all the crazy traffic.

I started off with the Brussels sprout salad that had apples and pears.

It's a combination that I never thought I'd try,

but it tasted so good as the main course.

I tried the French chip that comes with au jus

The roast beef was perfectly tender and the caramelized

onions were just the right amount of sweet.

I also ordered this cucumber lime drink with celery cilantro. Once I got done, I

back inside for a tour of the powder room which is a

secret cocktail lounge behind these two metal doors. at the moment,

It was full of orange velvet and copper details. Overall, I fell in love with Manny’s

I can't wait to come back to try the rest of the sandwiches as well as the smoothies.

Try the taste of tarot at Midnight Cowboy 

A Speakeasy just rolled out a tarot inspired drink menu

and it's definitely worth making a night of.

there's a light at an abandoned looking door without signage.

It's the kind of place hidden in plain sight

stand at the front door and they'll come greet you

you'll enter the hidden world of Midnight Cowboy.

I loooooove a good ambiance and unlike the rowdiness of the bars around it,

they'll give you books for their new Midnight Cowboy Arcona menu

full of drinks inspired by tarot cards and their meanings.

The presentation had me tasting and drinking with my eyes

but then I'd actually drink it and was blown away.

Plus they were really strong in my opinion.

My two recommendations would be to make a

reservation during the week to avoid the crowds of

6th Street and to bring your own Tarot deck to do readings because what better place?

• For Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum, the exhibits in the sculpture garden stay the same. The exhibits within the museum inside rotate every 3-4 months.
• Parking in the UMLAUF parking lot is limited, but overflow parking can be found across Azie Morton at Wright Field or in the nearby Zilker lots. We encourage public transportation and bike racks can be found on the premises. Zilker also offers a shuttle services.
• There are free guided tours every Friday at 11 a.m. for the indoor museum and every third Saturday at 12 pm through the garden.

Arriba Abajo offers rooftop dining and drinks with vibrant vibes, a pool, and delicious food like lobster quesadilla pizza and margaritas in downtown Austin.

Enjoy Food and Drinks at Arriba Abajo

If you would enjoy a day in the outdoors between going to a garden & museum as well as a rooftop cantina, then this plan is perfect for you.

First, head over to the OLAF sculpture Garden and Museum.

The outdoor garden is exquisite and full of breathtaking sculptures.

So even when it's hot outside, it’s still refreshing just to walk around or sit on the benches.

We liked this particular piece so much that we even tried to reenact it.

It wasn't perfect, but we still had fun while doing it.

The museum inside has spectacular pieces of work and you can see the level of detail each artist puts into their craft.

And you can even have a guided tour where they will talk into more details on each piece.

Once you finish at the museum, head over to Arriba Abajo.

It's a rooftop cantina in the Thompson Hotel.

As soon as you reach the elevator, you can hear the music and feel the vibes.

The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor section filled with couches and tables.

And on top of that, there’s even a pool.

So if you want to go for a swim on a hot day, it is perfect.

The indoor section has great ambience as well and plenty of space.

As always, I recommend starting off with some drinks.

I suggest you try the Margarita and the Island Heat.

For appetizers, I strongly recommend the lobster quesadilla pizza.

It is absolutely delicious and just look at how cheesy it is when you bite into it.  Unbelievable.

For entrees, both the carne asada fajitas as well as the chili crusted prawns are fantastic.

Today we're going for afternoon tea at the Austin Proper Hotel.

We were given a box of tea to choose from when we got into Goldie's Sunken Bar.

We got to smell all the different teas and pick our favorites.

and of course we had to get some videos of the amazing wallpaper.

The afternoon tea is available Friday through Sunday from 12 to 3 p.m.

This is an excellent spot to get dressed up and go with

your girlfriends or for a mother-daughter day if family is visiting.

If you're still feeling hungry after those light bites,

there are some great options right in the hotel.

Pop on over to Peacock Mediterranean Grill or upstairs

to La Piscina to round out your afternoon.
