The Inn At the Presidio has recently undergone renovations

A cute inclusive perk at the Inn is its self-serve wine bar,

offering a collection of local wines and spread of appetizers

Take in the history and elegance of the communal 

Conveniently located a couple doors down is Calibri.

This Mexican bistro provides a lively atmosphere.

but be warned that the lolly has a kick to it.

The guacamole here is delicious and I had just enough room for the Torta Del 

After all that food, not only was bed calling

but the self serve European continental breakfast

provided a welcomed fresh and light spread

Located behind the Inn is the ecology trail.

You'll be surprised by just how much wildlife you'll find here.

Alternatively, utilize one of the Inn's complimentary bikes

and take in the iconic view of Golden Gate Bridge.

Sometimes the best escapes are the closest ones where you can check into a cozy stay,

We ventured north to Point Reyes for a one

night staycation to slow down and reconnect with nature.

From the moment we checked into the lodge at Marconi,

with a mid-century modern charm that made it hard to leave,

We eased into the day with brunch at Mabel's restaurant,

soaking up the outdoor patio with drinks and great bites.

we wandered the trails around the property,

taking in the sweeping views that set the

But the real magic happened in the evening.

a nighttime kayak tour led by Liz in Dallas,

local experts with 17 seasons under their belt.

we stopped on shore where they surprised us with

we talked about the moment we were waiting for,

Start at the edge of the Great Highway and hit up Leo's Tacos food truck.

Now take it to-go and walk a few minutes out to set up your beach picnic.

and as soon as you step inside this cabin,

you realize this isn't your average game.

and the pressure is heavy from the first second.

We were scrambling to piece together codes,

and trying to outsmart the puzzles before the timer hits zero. One person is on the locks,

There's absolutely nothing like the rush of an adrenaline

you get when a hidden door finally pops open,

or you hear that final lock click with only seconds left.

Your heart is actually racing and you try to grab that last nugget and get out.

This was easily the highlight of our week.

With awesome views of the Salesforce Tower

and other buildings in the Financial District,

it's a perfect rooftop experience to bring friends,

a beautiful bar with tons of options on drinks,

and they even had a DJ who was setting the perfect vibe.

and then it was time to try the delicious food

all of which were full of flavor and were great options to share at the table.

and definitely my favorite part of the meal.

especially with the amazing views that we got being here.
