• Trust the bartenders, too-they have great recommendations (even beyond the mezcal, although I highly recommend getting their rec on these too)
• Get there early to get a table outside. The breeze, and views are unbeatable!

La Barca Cantina

If you're looking for a primo boat to enjoy

with your crew this summer without breaking the bank,

La Barca Cantina is a floating Mezcal bar

that not only boasts some fantastic Mezcal drinks,

but sails you around the Hudson while you try it all.

And we couldn't have picked a more perfect day.

If you're looking for food variety, you'll find it here

from apps like classic chips and guac or a sampler of free salsas to the

esquite corn and sweet plantains, which are not usually my thing, but these were so good

and I can't forget the tacos. They range from mushroom, which was so tasty

(I'm still wishing I had more) to baja fried fish to

options like the brisket filled one that my friend had.

Between courses, we experimented and shared two different Mezcal

they were really interesting and it was cool to

see what different flavor palates each of them had.

Leches cake too, for authenticity, of course. 

I already know this is gonna be one of my favorite summer haunts.

Watermark NY Winter Wonderland

Halloween is over and you know what that means,

I got a chance to visit a winter wonderland at Watermark.

and this latest installation is the stuff of holiday dreams.

We started by rocking out with Santa under the bar's homemade snow,

And then there's the mac and cheese in a cone,

The rest of the menu is equally enticing.

but there was a table graciously willing to let us capture their chicken, pot pie,

Though they ran out of s'mores kits the night we went,

we did find some marshmallows to roast by the open fire.

Most of our time was spent just lounging around.

I loved all of the books and games and the nearby lake was so dreamy,

We did venture out to Jim Thorpe for a cute little train ride,

this was a much needed escape from the city.

Budget Friendly Airbnb!

If you're heading to San Diego and want a

place that's affordable without sacrificing cleanliness or quality,

check out this hidden gem spot I stayed at on my last visit.

it is so hard to find without blowing your budget.

The host was incredible and even left a basket of snacks for us,

which was perfect since we didn't really need anything over the top for this trip.

The bed was super comfortable and the shower was stocked with,

which is literally the best smelling soaps you'll ever have.

one of the best diners in San Diego is literally right next door.

It's seriously one of the best breakfasts I've had in such a long time,

There's a bunch of shops and stores just around the corner.

I highly recommend checking out this place.

I definitely will be booking again the next time I come here.
