Nothing is ever really free anymore, but I found a free summer movie series at a historic building that you’ll love! Grab your friends and head to the Library of Congress for their annual “Summer Movies on the Lawn” series. The series is every Thursday from July 11th - August 8th, 2024!

• The series is every Thursday from July 11th - August 8th, 2024!
• Bring a picnic blanket, folding chairs, snacks, drinks, and bug spray! 
• The series featuring films from the Library’s National Film Registry will be presented Thursday evenings at sundown on the southeast lawn of the Library’s Thomas Jefferson Building. 
• No tickets are required for these outdoor film screenings, but capacity will be limited.
• Before the movie on August 8, enjoy a live performance from Panquility Band who will play island melodies starting at 7 p.m. on the Southeast lawn.

for their annual summer movies on the lawn series.

Be sure to get there early to find a seat,

bring a picnic blanket and some snacks and then let the show begin

on Thursday evenings from July to August the 

Library of Congress will feature iconic films

from the library's national Film registry.

We watched a classic film called An American in Paris from the 1950s

It was so beautiful watching the sunset right

behind the movie projector. after the movie,

do some quick sightseeing and see the Library of Congress at night and

the US Capitol share this with your friends to make it happen.

DC's most innovative gelato shop comes out with creative flavors and collaborations every single month. And you cannot miss their latest release with DC’s famous José Andrés. There’s two unique sundaes that you’ll absolutely love this spring, one with olive oil and sea salt, another with cheesecake through May 10th!

• The olive oil sundae has a drizzle of José Andrés olive oil and sea salt, it was so delicious, I love the taste of olive oil! 
• There’s also a Basque cheesecake sundae with goat cheese sundae, honey, and pepper. This was such a good and unique flavor combination. 
• Try their seasonal matchas while you’re there too!
