• BE BRAVE AND DO THE COLD PLUNGE! This was the cherry on top - being able to fling yourself off the rooftop and jump into the cold Lake Union water really wakes you up!

we were greeted warmly by the owners of Wild House,

a group of friends and family who just wanted

to share one of their favorite experiences in Seattle.

We then got to change into swimsuits and start the soothing sauna experience.

We could add water and essential oils to really steam up the room and add a scent.

all you had to do was wear one of the provided

robes and step outside for some cool weather and refreshments.

we even had the opportunity to take a dip in Lake Union.

but it didn't even matter because we'd just get back into the sun of a warm up.

We did the sunset tour and I cannot emphasize how good this timing is.

Being able to capture the sunset on the boat's rooftop was perfect for pictures,

and the vibe completely changed after it got dark.

Wadhouse was a whole two hour journey that was filled with luxury and relaxation.

• pack pre-made or microwaveable meals - kitchen appliances include a mini fridge (which has a small freezer), an electric kettle, and a coffee maker. So you'll want to have meals that easily come together with no cooking required! you can also plan on eating out - the guest book has tons of great local recs nearby!

💪 Pro tips
• for us, the hut ~was~ the destination, so we didn't make plans to leave/explore the area much.
But if you want to, there's some great spots to visit nearby! You'll be within about 1-1.5 hours of Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens, so lots of hiking options!
The guest book is also full of recs for other fun things to do in the area - like a cute little train ride at a rail museum, an alpaca farm tour, and more!
• make sure you look EVERYWHERE. there were so many hidden nods to the movies, and we were noticing new things literally up until the moment we left

It's maybe the coolest mix of urban life and nature in Seattle.

The Amazon spheres are an iconic landmark downtown,

Typically these are only available for Amazon employees,

but on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month,

anyone can make a reservation to go inside.

The spheres are home to more than 40,000 plants from dozens of different countries.

We saw some pretty cute creatures inside too.

This little guy with the neon orange spots was my favorite.

Every entree tasted authentic and delish,

I'm definitely going back when I can't decide what Indian food I'm craving,

and all of it just for $30 a dinner and $25 if you swing by for lunch,

and you get unlimited Mangola Se soda and chai refill.
