I finally went to the viral cake decorating workshop I've been

seeing online and made myself a cute little Lorex looking cake.

which is a cake decorating workshop in Brooklyn

hosted by this creativity studio called Recreate Collective,

where you get to be creative and get a sweet treat,

which I'm not sure what took me so long to go.

you're free to decorate your cake however you want.

One of the girls was saying how fun it was doing the things our parents never let us do,

They also have solo days where everyone comes solo with the idea of making friends,

which I definitely want to come back for.

And when I said you get a sweet treat at the end,

I mean you literally get a slice of cake on top of the cake you've decorated.

you get to have your cake and eat it too.

I highly recommend going to one of their classes or events,

as this was one of my favorite classes to date.

The Mvmnt

The Mvmnt in Brooklyn has one of New York's

few Himalayan sea salt sound bath experiences,

I walked into the immaculate space not knowing what to expect,

but our teacher was incredible as a guide,

making us feel comfortable by way of intro

before making us feel comfortable in our meditation.

with deep breathing and varied soothing sounds,

while she paid attention to our body and gave

us recommendations for even deeper relaxation throughout the class.

And for those who need a more active experience,

I wasn't ready for my couch again just yet after the class,

Grand Army Plaza Farmers' Market for some fresh groceries,

including my favorite apples that you can't usually find in grocery stores.

Highly recommend both for a very chill weekend experience.

There's this new fabulous spot on Restaurant

Row inspired by the enigmatic Lola Montez,

and you can just get the sense from looking around that whatever Lola wants,

and they're technically European inspired,

Bar Lola sits on Restaurant Row in the theater district,

this is definitely my new spot for food and drinks before a show or after a show,

Hendrick's created a Midsummer Night's fever dream called Anotherland to

celebrate its first new flavor in a long time,

The pop-up was envisioned by the storyteller behind Sleep No More,

but from the first insanely delicious sip,

I was questioning if I like it and the adventure hadn't even begun.

We ventured through Shakespeare-covered walls on the main floor for

more chaos in the form of more drinks and bites,

And this was no normal event space either.

We found hidden doors around every corner,

leading to some communal and super intimate one

on one moments like this serene personal serenade.

and even a one on one tarot card reading.

you really feel like you're part of a story.

From personality-based botanical ingredients to vibey forest-like

dark hallways and dance-laden shared spaces,

interactive doesn't even begin to cover it.

The experience is only here for a limited time,
