If you’re wondering what I’m up to on Sunday mornings…this is an ideal day-in-the-life. Going to the Silverlake Flea and looking at all the cool things to buy is already therapeutic…but then hitting up Stories afterwards? This is such a dynamic duo and the perfect thing for a cute solo date.

Hunt for unique vintage finds and handcrafted goodies at Silverlake Flea, a bustling open-air market perfect for leisurely browsing on a Sunday morning.

• The market happens on Fridays from 10 am to 3:30 pm  /  Saturdays from 8:30 am to 3:30  pm / Sundays from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm

• Parking is TERRIBLE in this area. As much as I want to give you guidance here it’s definitely a “may the odds be ever in your favor” type of vibe…for this reason I recommend showing up on the earlier side so you have the best shot at getting a spot

• Bring a tote bag to put your flea market finds in! A lot of the vendors don’t have shopping bags available

This is my ideal Sunday morning solo date.

which is a super popular flea market in East LA.

I like coming here because I always find really cool,

And then when I'm done prancing around the flea market,

there's a really cute cafe bookstore that's like a 5 minute walk called Stories.

They always have really cool books and cool stuff to just look at.

there's nothing like a good flea market & bookstore combo

which I think is key to a beautiful solo Sunday.

I love bookstores so much! Because bookstores are more of a rarity nowadays…I get extra excited when I come across a cute one. Counterpoint Records & Books is a lovely spot that is sooo worth checking out.

We went to try out the original Panda Express.

I loved the decor and ambience and the service was a 10 out of 10.

We tried the crispy lobster noodles on a whim,

but I definitely will come back for the good food and service.

So if you're a Panda Express lover like me,

I definitely recommend checking them out.

their stylish decor was a great way to decompress.

Make the perfect charcuterie plate at the Element Art Center 

Serve up some creativity over at the Element Art Center,

We went over to the Element Art Center over in Chinatown,

where they host many different types of classes,

and we were there specifically for their charcuterie making ceramic class.

We got suited up in our aprons and got ready for our class guided by Justin.

He is one of the co-owners of the Element Art Center.

And he was so good at explaining what we needed to do to be successful,

but also allowed us to have full creative rain

It was a lot of fun to see all the different techniques and then to try our hands in it.

We also were surprised with these beautiful

little charcuterie boards for some inspiration and

and this place is bring your own wine and beer,

so I highly recommend to make the class that much more fun.

I loved watching everybody's approach to making their boards,

making them really different and special.

It was so fun to see everyone's creative juices flowing,

I haven't painted in years and it was so much fun to do that.

the Element Art Center does all the hard work for you.

they put it in the kiln for you and they will let you pick it up in just a few weeks after

I think my favorite part was picking out what to

paint in each of the parts of the serving board.

It was a lot of fun and asking people what I should do

just made it that much more of a community

I feel like all of us made beautiful pieces.

and so this will be not the last time I hang up my apron,
